On Sunday, January 3rd, tubing will open at 12 p.m.. Tubing sessions will run at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m.. Tickets can be purchased two hours before the session time. A limited number of tickets are available for each session. Tickets are only available for purchase in person. Tubing will be open today only and will re-open next weekend. The Beech Mountain Brewing Co., Ski Beech Sports, and the Beech Tree Bar and Grille will open Saturday at 11 a.m.. Bald Guy Brew Coffee Shop will open at 10 a.m.. The Beech Tree Bar and Grille will offer live music, starting at 5:30 p.m..
The Corklickers are an old time string band from the mountains of North Carolina. They’ve performed at the Carter Fold, Chicago Folk Festival, Kent State, and Brandywine Music Festival. They have played on the same venues and enjoyed the company of the Highwoods Stringband, Roan Mountain Hilltoppers, Hotmud Family, Red Clay Ramblers, White Top Mountain Band, Fat Meat Boys and many more great musicians young and old, too many to name here!
