Burton Learn to Ride (Ages 6-14) – Youth Snowboard Program
Whether you’re a beginner or progressive rider, you’re never too old to learn new tricks. With hands-on lessons from the best-trained instructors, anyone can experience the fun and excitement of snowboarding. Burton’s ‘Learn to Ride’ program makes getting on a snowboard fun and easy. With high-quality gear made specifically for beginners, the best hands-on instruction and a low pressure learning environment, our goal is to get everyone up and running before they know it! This program is for snowboarders ages 6 through 14 years old.
What does the program offer?
The program includes 4 hours of instruction, slope pass, rental equipment and lunch. Report cards will also be handed out at the end of the day to let you know what your child has accomplished and what class they should be signed up for next! How Do I Register? Save time and register online prior to arrival! This will also guarantee your child’s spot in our Burton Learn to Ride program. You will pay for registration online. Please print and fill out the registration form located on our Burton Learn To Ride Page. Bring this form for check-in. We offer day-of registration based on availability. Parents can register their kids at the Ski & Ride School front desk. This is located directly across from the play yard.
How should you dress your child?
Start with a thin layer next to the skin – long johns or thermals. Layer according to the weather with polar fleece tops and pants as insulation on colder days. Outerwear should be both waterproof and windproof. Bring a winter hat, neck warmer and waterproof mittens. Don’t forget ski goggles or sunglasses. Use only one pair of socks, preferably ski socks as they keep feet drier and warmer. It is highly recommended to bring an extra pair of underwear and pants just in case of an accidents (age appropriate). Please bring extra snacks and a water bottle for the day and don’t forget to apply sunscreen! Please make sure to inform one of our supervisors of any allergies or relevant medical information.
