On October 6-7, 2012, travel back to the enchanted world of Oz atop Beech Mountain at the Land of Oz Park. The Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 19th annual Autumn at Oz Festival. Opened in 1970, this piece of magic came to Beech Mountain as a living adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s classic novel, “The Wonderful World of OZ,” upon which the classic film is also based.

This year, the festival will offer an expanded venue, providing visitors with more activities, food, drink, and sights which will enhance the Land of Oz experience. We invite you to experience the recreation of Dorothy’s trip from her farm in Kansas, through the twister and down the yellow brick road to OZ. Along your journey, you will meet many of the vibrant characters that made the novel and the movie timeless.

“Kansas,” located in the village of Beech Mountain Resort, will be the start and end point for your journey to the Land of OZ. Stay for live music, dancing, multiple food and beverage options, crafts, merchandise, hay rides, petting zoo, a bonfire, and hot air balloon rides. This new, expanded venue is designed for all ages with ample parking for visitors. Transportation to and from the Land of OZ is included. By bus or scenic ski lift (weather permitting) to an elevation of over 5000 feet above sea level, to the top of Beech Mountain, where fantasies come to life.

The theme park opens at 9:30 a.m. with tickets available for entrance to the park every hour until 5:30 p.m. The last bus leaves at 4:30 p.m. Join us to relive the magic of OZ!
