Beech Mountain Resort’s Disc Golf Course has a new and improved design for the 2022 summer season. This chairlift accessible course provides an authentic mountain experience and should be on every disc golfer’s shortlist of must-play courses. The layout and scorecard come in at over 7500′ and play as a par 63, offering two par fives, five par fours, and eleven par threes. Twelve holes play down the steep ski runs of the resort, and six holes wind around the resort village. We are confident this new course will keep you coming back for multiple rounds!
Out on the course, there are booming drives off the tee on multiple holes, targets perched on rocky mounds, and challenging upshots. Each hole offers picture-perfect views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the lower holes surround the resort village.
Hole 18, an uphill par five, plays 911′ and ends at Beech Mountain Brewing Company. There is a practice area next to the brewery so that you can reward your progress with your favorite brew.
There are multiple places where the course and mountain bike trails interact. These areas are marked, but be cautious at these crossings. Some tee pads and targets have MTB trails near or within view. Participants must remain aware of active bikers riding through a disc golf fairway before throwing their shot. If a throw lands on a trail, bring the disc back into play where it entered the trail, no closer to the hole, and you will not receive a penalty.
Take a scenic lift ride for $15 to tee off from the summit, or walk the course for free. The disc golf course has rough, rocky, and steep terrain, so proper footwear and clothing are required. Flip flops and sandals are strongly discouraged. Tickets are available for purchase online or in the resort village.
