Winter Music Series With Craig Street Ramblers

The High Country’s favorite music series is back at Beech Mountain Resort. Concerts are inside Beech Mountain Brewing Company’s Taproom and Grill.
Join us on Friday, January 27th, for live music with Into the Fog. The show begins at 7 p.m. and is free for all ages.

The Craig Street Ramblers are an up-and-coming band that offers a unique sound. With a prime country foundation, a light hue of the blues, and dash of southern gospel this group is steeped in the sounds of the coalfields of the Appalachian Mountains. Jake Baine and Joshua Wingate of Norton, Virginia head the group and do all of the vocalizations. Jake has a diverse and colorful background in the music community with a long history of filling out acts like the Dave Eggar Band. Josh Wingate has logged many miles with multiple regional bands but has set out to define his own sound with the Craig Street Ramblers. Much of the material performed is written by Wingate himself who has proven to be as much of a force in the songwriting dimension as he is singing and playing guitar. Backing up this duo of vocalists is Matt Mullins on Electric Guitar, Mitch Bentley on Bass, and Jeff Kennedy on Electric Guitar. Many will recognize Matt Mullin’s now iconic guitar style from the regionally acclaimed bands such as If Birds Could Fly and Foddershock. Mitch Bentley has played with a number of groups in the area and even on the original recording of the nationally popular Tina at the Teardrop Inn. Jeff Kennedy has played a number of years in local and regional bluegrass bands, but has now put his roots down as a Craig Street Rambler.
