JARU & The Soulamanders are a musical journey of friends that include TJ Darnell and Derek McNight. Having all grown up in or around the forest’s of Appalachia, the band naturally has heavy influences of the region’s musical origins of Folk and Americana that seamlessly flows right through their Reggae sound. These Rhythms, steeped in the sounds of early era Appalachian instrumentation, are no regression of the duo’s development of the reggae they play.
