Beech Mountain Resort is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the role of Retail Manager. The role will be responsible for the overall management of a well-organized and professional environment. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented, well organized, and comfortable in a fast paced environment. The position requires strong organizational and time-management skills, as well as the utmost integrity, reliability, and flexibility. This position is Winter Seasonal, Full-Time.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage facility, inventory, and staff of all retail operations
- Understand business needs and industry trends for profitable operation
- Produces orders for inventory
- Inventory management
- Maintains, and manages appropriate equipment and supplies needed for retail operations
- Tracks and follows budgetary guidelines appropriately
- Professional email correspondence with vendors for retail and sponsorship needs
- Excel worksheet proficient with ability to create and maintain update worksheets
- Manage monetary transactions and produce correlating reports
- Compose and manage all scheduling through company platforms
- Bi-weekly payroll composition and management
- Be customer service oriented and personable
Responsible for training, motivating, and evaluating of assigned personnel. Works with employees to develop short- and long-term goals, monitors accomplishments and provides coaching for performance improvement. - Establishes, follows and enforces safety practices, operating rules and regulations at all times. Conducts various analyses and inspections of assigned facilities to ensure safety goals are met and practices followed.
Requirements or Qualifications:
A high school education plus at least two years of relevant experience, or, a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge/skills are acquired.
- A strong commitment to customer service and “can do” attitude is imperative
- Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Must be able to analyze a variety of data to help identify trends and propose solutions
- Must have exceptional critical thinking and time management skills
- Must be able to understand basic financial reports
Proficient at skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking is preferred - Exceptional computer skills are required. Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
