Beech Mountain Resort is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the role of Rental Department Manager. The Rental Department Manager is responsible for the overall management of ski, snowboard, and safety equipment rentals, ensuring an organized and professional environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage ski and snowboard rental operations
- Oversee preseason and postseason inventory testing and maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rental facilities
- Establish and maintain equipment inventory and handle damages
- Assist in recruiting, scheduling, and managing employee paperwork and payroll
- Conduct employee assessments and administer company guidelines
- Maintain rental equipment and records, ensuring profitability for rental operations
- Communicate effectively with customers in a high-volume environment
- Collaborate with other resort departments to plan and implement group and individual customer needs
Requirements or Qualifications:
- Experience in ski and snowboard equipment rentals
- Knowledge of the resort industry and a passion for outdoor recreation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with point-of-sale software
- Customer service experience
- Experience with rental equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Equipment certifications (Rossignol Skis, Burton Snowboards) are a plus
- Four-wheel drive/AWD/snow chains required
