Meet the band!
Big Richard (Guitar/Voc):
Richard started playing guitar at the age of 28, studying guitar, bass, and voice under Charles Mowery for 12 years. Having a well rounded musical education and a great desire to play jazz guitar, Richard started taking lessons from local jazz player Gene Bujnovsky. He also had the privilege to attend many master classes from jazz greats such as, Bucky Pizzarelli, Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Jimmy Bruno, Frank Vignola, Sid Jacobs, Robert Conti, and Frank DiBussolo.
Jake (Drums/Voc):
Jake began singing around 1959 with his cousin George (Blacky) Rhoads, who was the guitar player in the famous WLBR radio country band. In 1964 he started a band with 3 other boys from Lebanon.Dave Santana, Wassel Schpuntow, and Donny Smith. formally known as The Decades.Through the years he worked with various musicians refining his vocal and drumming ability. His Mother bought him his first set of drums in 1965, he still uses that same set of priceless Gretsch drums today.
Daytona Dan (Bass/Voc):
Dan started his musical endeavor at age 9 with the trumpet. Soon after figuring out the trumpet, he moved onto learning drums, guitar, and finally bass guitar at age 15. Dan studied bass theory at home listening to a variety of artists and figuring out what shapes are played on the fretboard.
