Lees-McRae Family and Friends Ski Weekend

Book your calendar—the dates are set for the 2022 Family and Friends Ski Weekend at Beech Mountain Resort. If you’re a Lees-McRae student, alumnus, faculty or staff member, bring the whole family and take advantage of the discounted lift ticket and rental prices! Join us for a day or spend the whole weekend reconnecting with friends and hitting the slopes. It’s also Retro ’80s Weekend at the resort, so get ready to pair your ski gear with leg warmers and leopard print and spend a few days reliving one of the most iconic decades in pop culture history.

Thursday’s are for the girls! Beech Mountain Resort will offer $15 night ticket for women.

Ladies’ Complimentary Snowboard Demo

Looking to buy a pair of skis or a snowboard and having trouble deciding which one will be the perfect fit for you? Stop by Ski Beech Sports from 5–9 p.m. for your chance to try out our latest ski or snowboard gear.

Live Music
6–9 p.m. in the Beech Mountain Brewing Co. Brewhouse
Beech Mountain Brewing Co. Brewhouse offers an intimate setting to watch your favorite band. Watch our brewers work as you sip on a cold one. This event is free, and tickets are not required to enter the venue. The Brewhouse is in the resort village, adjacent to the fire pit.

Family S’More Night
6 p.m. at the fire pits outside of Beech Mountain Brewing Co.
Join your fellow Bobcats around the fire for an old-fashioned marshmallow roast. Secure that melted morsel atop a chocolate bar and between the graham crackers, and you’ve got the recipe for another memorable Bobcat moment. S’more kits are complimentary at the Brewhouse. Grab a cold one and fellowship by the fire.
SATURDAY, FEB. 26

Alumni, family, and friends are invited to a casual morning of coffee and conversation at Poppy’s Coffee Shop.

Brigham Classroom Open House

Drop by the Thomas Brigham Classroom for a first-hand look at the classroom space and learn about the Ski Industry Business and Instruction program from current students and faculty.

Ski and Snowboard Team Reunion
4–5 p.m. Brigham Classroom
Calling all Ski and Snowboard team alumni! Join us for a reunion of the Ski and Snowboard Team to celebrate the team’s legacy. Meet with Head Coach Aaron Maas and the 2020–21 Ski and Snowboard Team members. Learn about the current Ski and Snowboard team program, while we reminisce on old stories and relive the glory days!

Live Music
8 p.m. in the Beech Mountain Brewing Co. Brewhouse
Cassette Rewind offers the ultimate 80s music experience. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. The Beech Mountain Brewing Co. Taproom and Grill offer 24 taps, three full bars, and various food options. The Taproom and Grill is in the resort village, adjacent to lift five.
