2019 Winterfest Beer Festival

Enjoy an array of beers from all over North Carolina. The 2018 edition takes place Jan. 5th and fills both levels of the Beech Tree Bar & Grille with more than 50 ales and ciders from North Carolina craft breweries and cideries. The festival begins at 4:00 p.m. and goes until 8:00 p.m. It’s a fun and festive way to celebrate winter in North Carolina’s coolest town. The festival serves as a fundraiser for Beech Mountain Ski Education Foundation.
Live Music with The Broadcast and Shelby Rae Moore
Described by audiences as a modern day “Grace Slick meets Led Zeppelin”, Asheville NC’s The Broadcast quickly propelled themselves into the live music spotlight with their award winning independently released debut album “Dodge the Arrow” which has sold nearly 10,000 copies to date. Led by female powerhouse Caitlin Krisko, The Broadcast is breaking new ground across the country with their infectious energy and authentic approach to rock & roll. Drawing much of their sound from 70s classic rock n roll, this dynamic ensemble is known for their explosive live performances.
Shelby Rae Moore is a popular, talented local singer! She has the uncommon ability to move effortlessly between genres including blues, rock, country, bluegrass and pop. Her influences range from Jerry Reed to Bonnie Raitt to Etta James to Adele.
The festival venue – Beech Brewing Co. Taproom & Grill– is located in the alpine village at the base of the slopes at Beech Mountain Resort. A lift ticket is not required to attend the festival, and attendees can take advantage of the shops and dining options in the village. Beech Mountain Brewing Company, the resort’s craft brewery, is located next door to the Beech Tree.
Ticket prices are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Designated Driver tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door. Tickets are available here, or you can call the resort at 828-387-2011.
