Beech Mountain, NC – After selling out two of their outdoor concert series shows in the summer of 2021, Beech Mountain Resort rolls into winter by announcing yet another great lineup of indoor jams for the 2021-2022 ski season.
Beginning on December 11, 2021, and lasting until March 12, 2022, Beech Mountain Resort will once again provide the best wintertime experience in the region with 24 concerts performed in the Beech Mountain Ski Village.
Already known as the highest-elevated outdoor adventure destination east of the Rocky Mountains, the 5506’-foot high Beech Mountain Resort hosts some of the best ski and snowboard trails in the U.S. With their slopes open since November 26, there is much to do for visitors on Beech Mountain. In recent years, the ski resort has added to the fun by becoming a true mountain hub for live music.
In the Beech Mountain Resort Village, located at the base of the snow-covered ski trails, you can find award-winning craft beer and food at the Beech Mountain Brewing Company. Whether performing at the Taproom and Grill or next door at the Brewhouse; the following bands will keep the blood flowing and the good times rolling throughout the season.
Headlining the 21/22 Beech Mountain Resort Live Winter Music Series will be hip hop legend Ghostface Killah, who will perform on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Ghostface Killah came onto the hip hop scene as a member of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan.
The Wu-Tang Clan’s first album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) broke the group wide open in 1993. Coming out of Staten Island, Ghostface Killah was one of nine members of this large rap group that influenced many future hip hop artists.
As their popularity grew, many individual members of Wu-Tang Clan including Ghostface Killah would break off to make their own recordings while remaining a part of the collective. Pitchfork magazine called Killah “one of the best, most colorful storytellers rap has ever seen.”
The War and Treaty, who will perform at Beech Mountain Resort on February 12, 2022, are a very popular funk, rock and soul-country band led by the husband and wife duo of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Blount. Releasing their debut album in 2016, the Nashville-based group has quickly gained a large following while playing classic venues, performing on TV shows like Austin City Limits and lighting up the stage at music festivals around the country.
The War and Treaty reached Number 11 on Billboard Magazine’s U.S. Heatseekers chart, won the Emerging Artist of the Year award at the 2019 Americana Music Awards as well as the Artist of the Year award at the 2020 Folk Alliance International Awards Show. The duo also made their Grand Ole Opry debut this past August in Nashville.
The rest of the Beech Mountain Resort Winter Music Series features some of the best bands currently performing in the Southeast region. They include singer extraordinaire Shelby Rae Moore, the rowdy Celtic roots rockers Tan and Sober Gentlemen, Virginia dance band Apple Butter Soul, The Soulamanders, Donnie and the Dry Heavers, Alabama rockers Winston Ramble, rockabilly artists Zach McNabb and the Tennessee Esquires, the Logan Fritz Duo, the Howl at the Moon Dueling Pianos, Sam Collie and the Roustabouts, the Julie Williams Duo, Joey’s Van, The Talisman, Of Good Nature, the TJ Darnell Duo, The Harris Brothers, the Painted Man, Cassette Rewind, Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers, Funk You and Craig Street.
