Virginia Ground categorizes their sound in one word: Appalachiaphonic. It’s a funky melodic marriage rooted in soul, blues, bluegrass, reggae, country, Dixieland, jazz, rock, Americana, swing and more. When Jamen Denton’s fountainesque songwriting collides with his ensemble of inventive musicians; Jon McGlocklin singing harmony vocals, Logan Fritz on bass and vocals, Justin Denton on drums, Ben Smith on harmonica, Will Outlaw on trombone, Ian Feathers on trumpet and James Bowman on keys,they create a sound that is infectiously novel yet still familiar. The band’s music has and always will pay homeage to the rich traditions that have long filtered through their part of Appalachian mountains from all over the world.

Tickets can be purchased on-site at Ski Beech Sports located in the Resort Village. There is no parking or drop off location for 5506′.
