Annual Winterfest Beer Festival 2018
Enjoy an array of beers from all over North Carolina. The 2018 edition takes place Jan. 6th and fills both levels of the Beech Tree Bar & Grille with more than 50 ales and ciders from North Carolina craft breweries and cideries. The festival begins at 4:00 p.m. and goes until 8:00 p.m. It’s a fun and festive way to celebrate winter in North Carolina’s coolest town. The festival serves as a fundraiser for Beech Mountain Ski Education Foundation.

Live Music with Dr. Bacon and Unicorn Meat
Along with this festival is great music! Dr. Bacon is a genre blending “Appalachian Funk-Rock” band from Asheville, NC. Performing an infectiously danceable blend of funk, soul, jazz, rock, blues, folk, hip-hop and more. Featuring as diverse instrumentation as influencing styles including: guitars, resonator, harmonica, bass, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone drums, trombone, violin, pedal steel, mandolin, kazoo and more. Dr. Bacon is sure to get you moving and grooving.
Unicorn Meat offers acoustic rock, reggae, bluegrass and beyond featuring Jevon Daly and Jos Vicars. This comedy filled musical performance is sure to have you on your feet, laughing and dancing!
The festival venue – Beech Tree Bar & Grille – is located in the alpine village at the base of the slopes at Beech Mountain Resort. A lift ticket is not required to attend the festival, and attendees can take advantage of the shops and dining options in the village. Beech Mountain Brewing Company, the resort’s craft brewery, is located next door to the Beech Tree.
