Thursday, August 31st -Trivia Finals at the Beech Mountain Brewing Co.
So you think you know a little bit about everything? Do you ever watch Jeopardy & feel like giving yourself a pat on the back? Do you like to enjoy craft beer while flexing your cranium? Then come test your skills at Beech Mountain Brewing Company. 
This is our final night of trivia for the summer season. Come out and enjoy a pint and test your knowledge against our teams that have been competing all season, it promises to be a great end to the end of the summer season of trivia! The Grand Prize will be awarded to our overall winning team of the season tonight!!
Each Thursday night we will have a different trivia theme. Bring your friends, form a team and join us for what always promises to be a great time!
Each member of the winning team will receive a $10.00 gift certificate. Compete weekly for a chance at the grand prize at the end of the 10 part series!!
Saturday, August 26th-Mile High Yoga
Join us for our final installment of our summer yoga series at 5506′!
Take your downward dog to new heights with Beech Mountain Resort’s Mile High Yoga. Mile High Yoga takes place at 5,506 feet on the observation deck of the resort’s Skybar. Our mission is to provide a safe, friendly, soothing and unique atmosphere for all ability levels. 
Our hand picked instructors bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to help you strengthen your body, calm your mind, and find a little inspiration for the rest of your journey.
Classes begin at 10:30 a.m. and last approximately one hour. The class is accessible by chairlift. Tickets to the class are $15 and can be purchased in Ski Beech Sports, located in the resort village. Participants are asked to ride the chairlift between 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
Yoga mats are available for rent for 2$ or purchase in Ski Beech Sports.
Saturday, August 27th-Live Music at 5506′ with If Birds Could Fly
The coolest mountaintop bar east of the Rockies is the place to catch live music every Saturday between June 3 and Sept. 2. The resort’s summer music series combines great bands, cool beverages and spectacular panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Concerts start at 2:30 p.m. each Saturday, weather permitting. 
Join us this week for the folk, soul and rock sounds of If Birds Could Fly. Hailing from Big Stone Gap, VA, lead singer Brittany Ashley puts a soulful and playful sound back into folk music.
Cost is $10 to ride the chairlift. The concerts themselves are free.
