College Week always marks one of the most fun and festive weeks of the season here at Beech Mountain! College Week runs through Sunday, February 12th at 5 p.m.. Students from any college or university with a valid ID will receive group rates on both lift ticket prices and equipment rentals. Group rates for lift tickets do not need to be pre-booked and can be obtained any day during College Week by visiting the Group Sales office at the resort. Reservations are required for discounted ski and snowboard equipment to ensure that your group receives the best rate.

Chairlift Speed Dating
Tired of sitting around and swiping right or left? Tired of dead end conversations with boring matches? No worries, we’ve created the perfect event for all you single shredders! Join us on Thursday, February 16th for our inaugural Chairlift Speed Dating! You’ve already got the shred in common, odds are you’ll find a match!
Chairlift speed dating is focused on outdoor enthusiasts looking for friendship, a new shred-partner, and maybe more! This is a fun way, low-pressure way to meet new people. In honor of Valentine’s Day, discounted tickets will be available for only $15, but you MUST purchase online in advance to get the discount! This special will only last until 48 hours prior to the event. You can purchase a lift ticket day-of for $25 and as always, a $5 discount is offered to college students.
The event starts at 5:00 p.m. at lift number five (Quad chairlift). Single lift lines will be designated for the event, although you should come up with a group of friend so you can swap stories later. Each chairlift will have a conversation starter card that you’ll see as soon as you lower that safety bar! No awkwardness, no embarrassment, no pressure, no games, just fun!
Singles can choose to take their match for a quick drink at 5506’, ski down with them, or if you aren’t feeling it, leave them behind to try your luck on the next lift.
