Snowmaking Begins at Beech Mountain Resort!
Beech Mountain Resort has officially kicked off snowmaking operations in preparation for the 2015-2016 ski season. The resort’s expert snowmaking crew will work around the clock to ensure the best possible conditions for opening day. While the resort does not have a definitive opening day, everyone is working diligently to get the slopes ready to ski and snowboard.
The mountain has added 14 additional SMI Super Polecat snow guns that will allow for faster snowmaking. The 14 new SMI Super PoleCats bring the resort’s total to 61, combined with several dozen smaller guns.

Beech Mountain Brewing Co. to open Friday, Nov. 27
Beech Mountain Brewing Company will open for the season on Friday, Nov. 27. The brewery will operate Friday and Saturday from 11am to 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 8pm. Please continue to check the website for a weekly operation schedule.
Under the guidance of new brewmaster Billy Smith, Beech Mountain Brewing Co.’s popular Blonde Ale recently won a bronze medal at the North Carolina State Fair.
