Jan. 15, 2015. On Saturday, Jan. 17, Beech Mountain Resort will host Burton Party in Your Park, sponsored by Burton Snowboards and Edge of the World. Registration for this event is free with the purchase of a lift ticket at the resort.

The event will feature riders broken up into three teams for an afternoon of competitions. The teams will attempt three features at the terrain park and compete to win great prizes for events like Best Trick, Hardest Charging and Best Style.

Registration for the event will be held from 9-11 a.m. in the Beech Tree Grille and the event is free for snowboarders with a valid lift ticket. The contest schedule for the day is as follows:

• 12-12:30 p.m. – Practice
• 12:30-1 p.m. – Park Crew Rake
• 12:45 p.m. – Rider meeting on the hill
• 1-2 p.m. – Contest

After the contest, awards will be given at Beech Tree Bar and Grille starting at 2:30 p.m.

“We will give main prizes to the overall winner and the team winner,” said Talia Freeman, marketing director of Beech Mountain Resort.

“The prizes are mostly Burton products and they have some really neat prizes.”

Along with the great ride and great prizes, Dave Matthews, a representative from Burton will also be in attendance.
