Appalachian Alumni Weekend at Beech Mountain Resort, coordinated by the High Country Appalachian Alumni Chapter, features discounts for alumni and their families on lift tickets, ski and snowboard rental, local hotel accommodations and more March 7-8!  After you’ve enjoyed the excellent skiing and a charming Alpine Village filled with shops and restaurants, you’ll have the opportunity to socialize and network with your fellow Appalachian Alumni at our Saturday evening social at the newly remodeled Beech Mountain Brewing Company.

By registering through the Appalachian State University Alumni Association, you’ll have access to great special rates!

By registering in advance, by Tuesday, March 3. Your name and your guest names (if applicable) will be included on the Appalachian Alumni Weekend Reservations List at the Beech Mountain Resort Group Sales Office, enabling you to receive the special rates noted above.

Alumni and their guests will pay for their tickets and rentals upon arrival at the Group Sales Office, located at the end of parking lot #1 above the ice rink.

When registering, please include names for each individual guest, so they can be added to the reservations list. Names provided at the door (individuals not pre-registered through the Alumni Office) will not be eligible to receive special discounts listed above.

After enjoying a fun day on the slopes, we hope you’ll join us at the Beech Mountain Brewing Company, located in the Alpine Village in front of the fire pit, for an Appalachian Alumni Social. Tickets in advance for this social event are $8 for adults and $5 for children ($10 and $7 at the door – cash only).

Come enjoy a delicious craft beer (with tea, water and sodas also available) and a tasty spread of hors d’oeuvres. Come reconnect with Appalachian friends and make some new ones, too!

In addition, this season live music filled the air Friday and Saturday nights with the first ever Après Ski Music Series.  As a culmination to a stretch of great performances, SnowDown has been announced offering yet another weekend of awesome live music!

Friday evening from 5-7 p.m., Andy Ferrell performs in the Beech Mountain Brewing Company.  Come enjoy this one-man show and a craft beer before heading to the Beech Tree Bar and Grille for a rockin’ performance by Big Daddy Love, beginning at 7 p.m.

Saturday March 7, North Carolina’s own – Acoustic Syndicate, takes the stage in the Beech Tree Bar & Grille at 7 p.m.! With their unique blend of rock and bluegrass this performance is sure to raise your glass and get your feet stompin’ all night long!
