The Lodge Manager oversees all aspects of operations at The Lodge during the winter season. The Lodge offers cafeteria-style dining, a large seating area, and a bar. The Lodge Manager ensures smooth operations, proper staffing, cleanliness, and a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage The Lodge kitchen, including food preparation and cooking
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills with guests and staff
  • Gather regular guest feedback and respond promptly to queries
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to reduce costs and increase sales
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and train team members on menu items, promotions, and events
  • Control costs while maintaining standards to improve profit margins
  • Monitor food and beverage products for compliance with standards
  • Enforce sanitation, safety, and cash handling procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Oversee training for supervisors to develop leadership, customer service, and point of sale skills
  • Maintain positive employee relations, responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating employees
  • Evaluate department and staff performance against set goals and standards

Requirements or Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Experience in food and beverage management preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage costs and increase operational efficiency
  • Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Four-wheel drive/AWD/snow chains required
