Beech Mountain Banked Slalom

Sharpen your edges and wax your skis or snowboards and of course pick out your best 80’s onesie! Beech Mountain Banked Slalom, North Carolina’s ultimate test of speed & skill on the snow will return to Beech for the fifth year in a row!
The need for speed…
The course will be moved over to Robbin’s Run in 2017. Same great event, yet more speed & more fun. Racers will shred berms, hips, slash walls, and doubles to catch some air! After runs participants can kick back on the slopeside patio of our 5506′ sky bar and watch all the action while drinking a delicious pint of Beech Mountain Brewing Co. beer!
Registration: 9 – 11a.m. day-of OR you can pre-register at Recess in Boone one week prior!
Where: Day-of registration will be at The Beech Tree Bar & Grille
How much? $15 entry fee, racers can purchase lift tickets at a discounted rate ($50, normally $65) at registration!
11:30 – 12:30pm (2 practice runs per racer)
12:30 – 1:00pm – Course closes for maintenance
12:45pm – Riders Meeting at the top of the course
1:00pm – The race begins!
Awards will be presented in The Beech Tree Bar & Grille immediately following the last racers!

Youth – 14 – 17 years old (boys & girls)

Men’s ski – 18 – 34

Never ridden a banked slalom course? Come on out and test your ski or snowboard skills. Prize categories will include fastest shredder, best 80’s outfit, and of course best crash. In addition, we will have a Red Bull DJ on-hill to get racers pumped up before their runs.
