Tubing Closed for Snowmaking

Beech Mountain received its first big snowfall with an accumulation of eight inches.  The town of Beech Mountain and the Department of Transportation have successfully cleared the roads for patrons.  Beech Mountain Resort is open today for skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating.   Tubing is currently closed for snowmaking.

On snow days, students & teachers from closed K-12 schools ski for just $10; as well as ski or board rentals for just $10! *Offer valid for the day session only – excludes Christmas holidays, Martin Luther King Day and Presidents Day.

In addition, students & teachers can enjoy tubing for only $15!  For more information on tubing session times, click here. Please note that tubing will not be open on Monday, January 9th.  Please call ahead on Tuesday for information on session times.

This special applies to Avery, Ashe, Watauga, Mitchell, Carter, Washington, and Johnson County students and teachers only.  A proof of residency must be presented to the ticket cashier. (school ID, report card, letter from school, parents drivers license)
