It’s College Week at Beech Mountain Resort! College students can receive group pricing, through Sunday, with a valid college id. The fun starts this Friday, with live music from Adam Shirah. . Adam brings his love of Irish Pub songs, Rock n Roll, and stories of the great songwriters to each of his performances in an intimate stripped down solo acoustic setting.Along with solo acoustic performances, Adam is also a current member of Spade McQuade and The Allstars. Along with Spade McQuade, Adam has had the great pleasure to appear onstage with Rathkeltair and Albannach, as well as providing opening support for Flogging Molly, Black 47, The Tossers, and The Willis Clan. On Saturday, Red Bull returns with DJs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Listen to the best NC DJs in both the resort village and on the deck of 5506′. Finish off your Saturday, with a FREE show from Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band! Music starts at 8 p.m. and all ages are welcome. Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band is one of the most well known bands in the high county. Known for their exciting live shows and outrageous stage wear, the Booty Band’s sound is a mix of deep funk, high energy rock, plus a little old school rap and soul thrown in for good measure.
