Beech Mountain Resort is poised for a great winter thanks to a busy offseason of upgrades. Those upgrades include 14 new SMI Super PoleCat snow guns, a complete renovation of the Beech Tree Bar and Grille, significant improvements to the high speed quad and other lifts, and the installation of new, state-of-the-art snowtubing park. Keep in mind that only 200 passes will be released Oct. 5, so be sure to order yours!
Another nice option for regular skiers and snowboarders is renting a locker for the season. Season lockers are available for just $125. The lockers are located in a private locker room in the Beech Tree Village. The room features 93 individual/family lockers and is a short walking distance to everything. Locker season pass holders enjoy private bathroom and door access at an annual rate of only $125 per locker.
As part of the renovation of the Beech Tree Bar and Grille, the resort is resurrecting the Red Baron Room. The Red Baron Room is a private club which originally opened in 1970 in the bottom level of the Beech Tree. The room is authentically decorated with World War I flying memorabilia and dedicated to German flying ace Baron Von Richthofen, known as the Red Baron. This unique room, which has not been used for many years, has been remodeled and will be available only by private membership. Membership in the Red Baron Room for the 2015-16 season is $100 for individuals, and $175 for families (immediate family members only).
