Visiting Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, Boone, Seven Devils, Valle Crucis, Linville, Vilas, Grandfather Mountain? Come up to Beech Mountain and enjoy the large array of restaurants that cater to a variety of palates! Beech Mountain Resort has three restaurants on site.

Beech Mountain has a one-of-a-kind amenity for guests – a skybar providing food and beverage service at the top of the mountain. This newly-constructed facility has been named 5506′, paying tribute to the elevation that gives us the title of highest ski area in Eastern America. In winter, just off the chairlift, enter into a cozy glass roundhouse where you can enjoy food, drinks and snacks in comfort. Or sink into a chair on our large deck and take in the snow-covered vistas from more than a mile high. There are also heated restrooms. In summer, the skybar is equally popular with mountain bikers, hikers and visitors to Eastern America’s highest town. 5506′ provides food and drinks – plus restrooms – most weekends from June through October. Be sure to snap a few panoramic photos of the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

After a long day of skiing, snowboarding, tubing and ice skating, why not stop in one of the two restaurants at the base Beech Mountain? The Beech Tree Bar & Grille has received significant upgrades and is being completely renovated this summer. There will be TVs upstairs and downstairs (including a large projection screen), brew-n-view nights, film premieres and movies for events. There will also be an  expansion of our music series this winter. Enjoy some great food and drinks at this great bar and grille down in the resort village.

Beech Mountain Resort’s largest facility, the View Haus, has recently received a fresh, upgraded look, including an updated interior showcasing a mountain lodge feel, as well as a new, larger bar, flat screen televisions, new tables and chairs to provide more comfortable seating, and brand new bathrooms. The View Haus, originally constructed in 1969, is ready to serve as a classic and unique venue for all kinds of events with space for over 400 guests. The cafeteria-style dining carries a variety of food choices and snacks for you to enjoy while watching skiers and snowboarders glide down the slopes.
