Beech Mountain Resort is bringing the region’s first chairlift accessed Disc Golf Course to the resort’s growing list of activities. The resort is working with Pat Farrell, owner of Disconcepts of Greenville, South Carolina, to design and install the new course. The preliminary plans include an eighteen-hole professional level disc golf course, offering multiple tee locations to accommodate all skill levels. The course will feature Innova Discatcher Pro Targets, framed Disconcepts Launch Pad rubber tee pads, and custom tee signs. Players can expect; unique tee locations, targets teetering on small ridges, booming drives, delicate touch shots, and a picture perfect ‘signature’ hole. Beech Mountain will have a pro shop stocked with Innova Disc Golf products. The disc golf course will likely require players to ride the lift while accessing the eighteen holes. The views from the top are spectacular and the course will play mostly downhill. The resort and Disconcepts will host events throughout the summer. Beech Mountain Resort will open for summer operations on June 7, 2013.
