Telemark Festival

January 21, 2012

On January 21, 2012, Beech Mountain Resort will host the second annual Telemark Festival. This gathering of local and regional skiiers will convene to share good company along with technique and equipment insight.

Telemark skiing, also known as ‘free heel skiing’, involves removing (or detaching) the heel bindings from a pair of skis so the toe is the only part of the boot bound to the ski. This technique is also used for cross-country skiing.

There will be a ‘Boot Demo’ for those interested in trying telemark skiing and Roots Rideshop will offer discounts on all apparel and merchandise for telemark skiiers.

Discount lift tickets will be offered for those telemark skiiers attending the event.

Please contact Russ Hiatt for more information or to sign-up for the event at [email protected].
